ok... so although we can not dual wield pistols, can we have more than one on our person, at least for costuming purposes?

Aye! A brace of pistols would be both excellent and practical.

Practical for me, anyways, because I have terrible luck with my maverick--a few nightfinders or Nerf derringers would be excellent...

Yay! cuz well although it is currently impossible for me to fire more than 1 shot, as a pirate you have to appear like you can actually be useful. then when a comic distraction is needed you'll be perfect, "Wait! wait..." *motions for person to wait* "ah ha! my pistol. now your in for it. no... wait..." *examines pistol* "damn it... wrong one... this is the busted one." *throws to ground causing pistol to fire.* "aw come on... wait that means that this one is the busted one... and that... was my only shot..." looks at the person* "i shouldnt have told you that... BYE!" *takes off in other direction*

haha! see it works. :D

I have a question about the construction skills. What is the difference between having device construction (for example) at level 1, 2 or 3?
Thanks,
Ettie.

If it's anything like Madrigal Alchemy, there will be recipes (or schematics, probably) that will require a certain level of Device Crafting to use. So making a grenade might be a level 1 recipe, but making a super-awesome grenade would be level 3.

The different tiers of crafting skills represent the different levels that you can personally craft.

Our crafting, like in many games, will be broken into these tiers - 1, 2, 3 - that represent how powerful the item is, how useful it is, and how many resources it requires.

While we haven't fully worked out the crafting skills, here are some examples with Device Construction. These may or may not be items since I'm not handling crafting, but I believe they are appropriate levels of power.

You may get a tier one schematic that allows you to contruct a device that gives you a cheap kit to cut down the time on the repair skill from 1 minute to 30 seconds for two uses, and two components.
A tier two device may allow you to throw a specialized spike that unravels once it pierces the bone, giving you a packet for "Maim by Device" for three components.
A tier three device may allow the wearer to Reduce a called weapon strike and Destroy the weapon that hit them for four components.

*Edit* ....or if that's too long, what Ian said above me

No, your answer was helpful.
Obviously you get to make better things with more levels, but what kind of things and how much more better was what I was interested in knowing.

Thanks,
Ettie

A question on firearms: Do all pistols do 4 damage and all rifles do 6?

The Endgame rule for firearms states:
Firearms that hold only one or two shots do “4 damage” for pistol weapons, and “5 damage” for rifles. Guns that hold more than two shots do “3 damage” for pistols, and “4 damage” for rifles.

I was wondering if you had something like this intended for LE or not, since it is not covered in the Accelerant core rules.

For the sake of convenience, pistols and rifles are thus far dealing 4 and 6 damage respectively, regardless of how many shots they carry.
