I've been looking for good steampunk books for a long time, but can never decide which ones are good. I highly recommend anything by HP Lovecraft. I was very tempted to make Dr. Cobb a Dr. Moreau like character (Who knows he still might end up there)!

- This is the best Cthulu moving picture ever made.

The League of Extraordinary Gentleman certainly...and even though it sucked because Alan Moore sort of lost his mind on the third book, the has some very heavy Lovecraft influences.

Image comics has a Lovecraft series, and has done a couple Lovecraft things as well.

Awesome suggestions everyone, I think I'll have to check some out sometime. But now to get this thread even more off topic, I submit for the approval of the Midnight Society... I mean, you guys, something I just found surfing around. It's kinda how I would picture a feral Dorr! http://fav.me/d3006pd

So I am surprised to see nobody has mentioned this yet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_Ct ... _the_Earth. It is a great game filled with Lovecraftan atmosphere. See what it is like to be an investigator today!

yeah, I figured I wouldn't remention all the Lovecraftian / steampunk games that had been in viewtopic.php?f=4&t=336 - definitely a freaking awesome game though

Ohh I have more. http://www.creepypasta.com/the-thing-th ... he-fields/ The thing in that story seems like something that would terrorize us. There are to many good stories on that site to mention but surfing through should get you ready for the horrors of greyhook.
