Right then, plague rats.
Current forecast for this Saturday is "Absurdly cold, with the possibility of rain." That's "Highs in the mid-forties, lows in the mid-thirties, with a 20% chance of precipitation."
Given that we have a minimum of places that can qualify as either "warm" or "indoors," please observe the following suggestions:
1) Dress in Layers. For the love of Pete, New Englanders should have this down pat.
2) Bring a Change of Clothes.
3) Do Not Fight Around Fires. We may light some in the grills as warm spots--be aware of them, and do not fight near them. Like really, really don't.
4) Stay Warm. As a humorous briefing once went: if you are cold, and then get warm, you are not developing super powers, you are dying of hypothermia. In the name of everything we are not meant to know, find someone and tell them if you feel anything like this.
We'll be trying tricks to keep people's spirits up (electric tea pots, space heaters if we can, etc.), but we all have to play safe first and foremost. Massive kudos to anyone who contributes warmth inducing thingies (and potentially CP for things like handwarmers, crock pots, etc. PM me for details.)
Thanks for your attention.
